What is naturopathic medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage your inherent self-healing process. The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, your overall health is determined by the quality of the Qi (energy) flow through the natural pathways of your body (meridians). Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques, including placing very thin sterile needles into specific points on the body, to stimulate and improve your Qi flow.

Do you accept insurance?

We do for acupuncture! However, we do not for naturopathic medicine. Dr. Deneen is an in-network provider for Aetna and United Healthcare, and accepts VA referrals. To verify benefits prior to your appointment, please fill out our form here.

Are you a licensed doctor?
Yes! Dr. Deneen has a naturopathic medical license from the state of Arizona and went to 4-year medical school as well as attended practicums and labs, just as any doctor would. She focused on holistic medicine, and attended school start to finish.
Do you take HSA?

We do for acupuncture! We may be able to for other services as well and we recommend checking with your HSA company to be sure.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give us 24 hours + notice. No show or late cancellations will be charged the full appointment price.
Do you believe in “modern medicine”?
We absolutely believe in you attending annual visits to a primary care doctor, and the E.R. when needed! You should think of us as a supplement to your “normal” doctor routine. We’ll prescribe alternative, natural medicines than what your primary doctor might prescribe.
Should I book an appointment or invest in the membership?
Truly, we recommend that you invest in the membership. It provides you with the accountability and flexibility that will help you stick to it and see the long term results you’re looking for.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment, whether virtual or in person, will last longer than your following appointments. We take the time to get to know you and guarantee we understand your unique needs. Your initial naturopathic medicine appointment will last longer than an initial acupuncture appointment. We’ll get into more detail about diet, lifestyle, exercise, medications.
I’m struggling with infertility. How can you help?
Both acupuncture and naturopathic medicine can help you with fertility! Acupuncture improves the quality of sperm and the performance of ovaries while also balancing the endocrine system and hormones. Through nutrition advice, changes in lifestyle, and herbal medicine, we use naturopathy to regulate menstrual cycles and improve your health.
I’ve seen my oncologist for cancer. Now what?
We use acupuncture and naturopathic medicine to supplement treatment from your oncologist, helping you overcome your cancer and symptoms. Acupuncture can help you control nausea triggered by chemotherapy and pain related to any surgery you may have had. Additionally, we can prescribe you with different herbal medicines to help you feel better and manage pain. Ask us how we can help!
